Postpartum Care
Having a new baby can be one of the most joyous and wonderful times and it can also be overwhelming and unpredictable. As a postpartum doula, I can be part of your team and can help you to transition as smoothly as possible into this parenting journey.
I know how overwhelming it can be to think about preparing for baby, coming home from the hospital, caring for a newborn, recovering from birth and all that comes with this new phase of your life. I’m here to help you to not only survive your postpartum journey but to thrive.
Some ways I, as a postpartum doula, can help you during this postpartum time is:
provide both day time and night time shifts to help with all postpartum needs
meal planning, grocery shopping, meal preparation
meal train coordination
childcare coordination
light housekeeping
run errands
accompany you to appointments
sort, wash, fold and put away your laundry
educate and support you through breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding or combination feeding
take care of baby and/or older siblings so you are able to take care of yourself whether that’s by having a bath, taking a nap, drinking a coffee that’s actually hot, etc.
provide referrals as needed to community resources or other resources
provide non-judgemental emotional and mental health support
and much more
